Newcastle star Kieran Trippier reveals the player he’s been most surprised by in England training
Kieran Trippier believes that England can win Euro 2024 and doesn't think any of his teammates should be afraid of saying it.right-back is set to captain the Three Lions at St James' Park in the game against Bosnia-Herzegovina, and he's looking forward to the tournament starting.He has featured in the last three major tournaments for the Three Lions and knows the squad inside-out, which is why he's confident heading into the Euros.
Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT's Faye Carruthers about Palmer, he said: "It's the first time I've trained with Cole; he's really surprised me - a top-quality player."Asked to further expand on Palmer, Trippier said: "It's just how he finds the pockets .
"It's the first time I've trained with him this week, I am really happy that I've trained with him, he's been quality."The former Manchester City man was the signing of the season and helped Chelsea finish sixth and secure Europa Conference League football next term.
He scored 22 goals in the Premier League and set up a further 11 for the Blues and that form was rewarded with two England caps in November 2023. He's a player in a rich vein of form who looks to have a sparkling future ahead of him and Trippier is a huge fan.
