Bowie only arrived in Italy back in January but has a whole host of clubs keen to try and land him this summer

Kieron Bowie has been told that the 'sky is the limit' with the Scotland striker lined up for another big transfer after just four months at Hellas Verona.

That's the view of his ex Hibs teammate Junior Hoilett, who also believes the 23-year-old can have a big say for his country at this summer's World Cup . Relegated Verona splashed the cash to land Bowie in a £6.5million deal back in January, and he has gone onto net three times in Serie A, including a strike in a 1-1 draw with Turin giants Juventus earlier this month.

The former Fulham youngster has vowed that he intends to stay and help Verona get back into the top-flight next season but the club could be forced into selling their prized assets in order to balance the books. Record Sport understands that teams in England and the German Bundesliga have expressed an interest in signing him this summer.

Fellow Serie A club Bologna are also considering launching a bid for the forward, and a move to the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara would allow Bowie to link up with his Scotland teammate Lewis Ferguson. And Hoilett firmly reckons Bowie is destined for the very top of European football. Speaking to Record Sport, he said: 'Yeah, why not. As long as he keeps working hard and believing in himself to progress and do well, the sky is the limit for him.

'He has all the attributes to go on and have a great career. He's an excellent talent with a bright future.

'He is a handful and you can see what he can do playing at the top level in Italy. I'm sure he can play a part in Scotland getting results in the World Cup.

'There are some good teams in that group so it will be a challenge. But anything can happen in the World Cup and they have the squad and experience to go and compete with the top teams.

'I'll be rooting for them and hopefully Canada can make it out of the group too and we can play them! ' Blackburn Rovers youth graduate Hoilett left Hibs to join Swindon Town back in January in order to try and secure more game time ahead of the World Cup. But the winger - who represented his country at the finals in Qatar four years ago - says he loved every minute of his 18 months at Easter Road.

'It was amazing', he added. 'It is a very family-orientated club that supports the players and the staff on and off the field. 'It's a great city and the fanbase is amazing. I really enjoyed my time there and was sad to leave but it's one of those things as I had to be closer to home.

'I wasn't playing as much as I was last year and leading into the World Cup, Jesse Marsch wanted me to get more minutes and told me that it was a no brainer to go closer to home to get minutes in order to get into that squad. That was the main reason for my decision .

'It's a big club and they have to be playing at the highest level and competing in those competitions in Europe where the club deserves to be. 'Last year was an amazing, we didn't start off well but we had a great group of players and when times were tough we kept fighting for each other and turned the corner to finish third.

'We didn't get to where we wanted to be this year but they are still in a good position to qualify for Europe. '
