Kilalanin pa lalo ang beauty queen na proud sa kaniyang kulay.Sa ulat ni Hermes Tunas ng GMA Integrated News Online, isang Filipino-American si Chelsea, na 22-anyos. Matapos pumanaw ang kaniyang tunay na ama, pinalaki si Chelsea ng kaniyang inang si Contessa Manalo kasama ang kaniyang amain.
"As a woman of color, I have always faced challenges in my life. I was told that beauty has standards, actually," saad niya. "But for me, I have listened to always believe in my mother, to always believe in yourself, uphold the vows that you have." Sa kaniyang modeling career, naging laman na si si Chelsea ang mga print magazine, nakatrabaho ang ilang fashion designer, at commercial companies gaya ng MEGA, Preview, Job Dacon, at Mark Bumgarner.
"My self-confidence became poor and I started to become indifferent, but I did not let this shed my own light," saad ni Chelsea.
