Two notorious shoplifters faced justice before the courts
Criminals jailed in September included a sex offender, a driver who caused the death of a jogger and two notorious shoplifters. Nearly all the cases were dealt with in Nottingham at either the crown court or magistrates' court depending on the seriousness of the crime or crimes.
Calum Jackson Prolific shoplifter Calum Jackson was banned from Mansfield town centre, local retail parks and a B&M Bargains store. Jackson is also prohibited from begging anywhere in the district as part of a criminal behaviour order granted in court. The 36-year-old, of no fixed address, appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 22, where he pleaded guilty to 19 counts of theft and was sentenced to four months in prison.
