The donation came about after one of the club member's granddaughters received treatment at the ward.

The Rotary Club of Kilmarnock has donated £500 to Crosshouse Children’s Fund, the charity for Ayrshire’s babies and children in hospital.

George said: "The tour we received of the children’s ward brought the cause to light. One of our members’ granddaughters required treatment recently, and the Crosshouse Children’s Fund is clearly a very worthy charity to support. "Before I joined, I had no idea just how many worthy causes are out there, needing support. The membership all agreed that Crosshouse Children’s Fund would be a fantastic organisation to support."
