Gino D’Acampo has faced severe criticism from his former I’m A Celebrity campmate, Kim Woodburn, who has labeled him a “full-of-himself little pig.” Woodburn, 82, who appeared on the show in 2009 and was the runner-up to D’Acampo, 48, expressed in a recent interview that D’Acampo received a favorable edit to portray him in a positive light.
She alleged that D’Acampo made her feel uncomfortable throughout their time together in the jungle, engaging in inappropriate behavior such as stroking his crotch, cheating during trials, swearing at the crew, and needing to be escorted off the set due to his outbursts.Woodburn detailed a specific incident where D’Acampo allegedly stroked his private area while talking to it, claiming he would tell it, “I know you haven’t had any sex, but when you get out of here, you will get so much.” She recalled him referring to his penis as “deprived and neglected.” She further asserted that D’Acampo's language towards the crew was vulgar and disrespectful, even using offensive language towards a producer. She described him as treating the crew members like “garbage” and causing several individuals to cry. Woodburn believes ITV was wrong to retain D’Acampo on the set given his conduct.These accusations from Woodburn follow a string of allegations against D’Acampo regarding inappropriate behavior from various former colleagues. Reports suggest he “thrust his crotch” at a female colleague and is facing consequences from ITV, as numerous individuals have come forward with claims against the TV chef. As a result of these allegations, his shows have been removed from television schedules. D’Acampo’s lawyer has refuted the allegations, stating that the claim from almost 15 years ago had never been raised before and that D’Acampo does not recall or accept the incident. D’Acampo himself has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them “deeply upsetting” and emphasizing that he has always treated others with respect. He also stated he has no recollection of the alleged incidents and has been supported by ITV executives throughout his career.
