Charles, 74, and the Queen consort, 75, were given a private tour of theBank Arena in Liverpool and met the creative team and apprentices getting the area ready to host the highly-anticipated celebrations.
‘This set will be the focal point for all of the celebrations and we cannot wait to see it lighting up Liverpool and TV screens across the world.’The grand final of the competition is due to take place on May 13, a week after the coronation ceremony, and it is being held in the UK for the first time in 25 years.
