King Charles makes hesartbreaking admission after death of Queen Elizabeth II
September 09, 2022 - 21:01 BST Rebecca Lewis King Charles III has shared that his mother's passing was the"moment I've been dreading" in a rare and moving moment of honesty.Charles, who became King following Queen Elizabeth II's death, was speaking to British Prime Minister Liz Truss at Buckingham Palace on Friday morning when he made the remarks.
The King arrived at Buckingham Palace on Friday having travelled down from Balmoral earlier this morning alongside Camilla. Following the death of his mother, the royal released a deeply personal statement which read:"The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family.""We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world," he added.
