King Charles' royal superstars Kate and Sophie will be given special honour, says expert
The Princess of Wales and The Duchess of Edinburgh are incredibly popular members of the Royal Family and take on hundreds of important duties every year.
And it is expected that, in the years to come, the pair will both be inducted into the prestigious Order of the Garter, joining the likes of King Charles, Prince William and, the most recent addition, Queen Camilla. Membership of the order is limited to the sovereign, the Prince of Wales and no more than 24 living members. Aside from senior British royals, foreign Kings and Queens are also typically made members.
However it's the numbers of current Knights or Ladies of the Garter that will dictate when they are included as those honoured are strictly limited and it’s sort of 'one in, one out'. It could be some time before either of them is given this honour, but I'm sure it will happen one day."
