The KOMO News report highlighted how Chief Deputy Prosecutor Jimmy Hung acknowledged that he did not seek forensic or cell phone data in a 2021 rape case and that only 17% of cases brought to this office resulted in charges. However, he also supplied an email from Manion to Dunn that was a 71-page audit of 270 juvenile sex assault referrals from law enforcement. The audit detailed in length the circumstances of every case and status as of Jan. 29. In that lengthy note, she wrote three bullet points:
McNerthney, in an interview on Tuesday, also said some state laws restrict the office from providing a narrative of every single police case.
