Officially, there are seven Seattle City Council seats up for grabs in Tuesday night's election. But an eighth will also flip if Teresa Mosqueda wins her race.
Early results are in favor of Mosqueda, but only by 1% with Burien Mayor Sofia Aragon trailing with 49% of votes.
Mosqueda is taking on Aragon for King County’s 8th District seat, which is being vacated by Joe McDermott.Mosqueda easily won the primary and has expressed confidence in the move, based on her fundraising and labor endorsements.
