If mowing down medieval knights with assault rifles and air strikes sounds like fun to you, keep an eye on Kingmakers, which could be coming to Xbox Series X|S.
Pixel Dash Studios, the developer behind Road Redemption, has unveiled its next game, Kingmakers, an action strategy sandbox game that has you shooting your way through huge simulated medieval battlefields via time travel. It's only been announced for PC so far, but the developer seems sure it could be coming to Xbox Series X|S — making it one of my most-anticipated Xbox games of the year.
It supports up to four-player co-op, tasking you and your friends with storming castle walls and defending your own strongholds with an arsenal of weaponry that includes assault rifles, grenade launchers, armored SUVs, attack helicopters, and airstrikes, to name a few. The battles are fully simulated in real-time, as thousands of soldiers react to your decisions as you flit between combat, issue orders to your team, build fortifications, and more.
