Kings Langley FC has renamed its bar to 'Trev's Bar' in honour of its groundskeeper Trevor Dealey.
The bar at a football club has been renamed after groundskeeper Trevor Dealey after his death abroad last week.
Mr Dealey, from Hemel Hempstead, was hospitalised while on holiday on May 11, which left him in a critical condition and battling sepsis, before his Kings Langley residents organised ‘Trevor’s Day’ for bank holiday Monday , initially to fund a medical flight home and then to help his family with theThe bar, which will now be renamed ‘Trev’s Bar’ in honour of the 58-year-old, was open at Kings Langley FC from 2pm for the family day with activities including a raffle, pig racing, music, entertainment, auctions, football games, and face painting.
Bob Best, who was heavily involved in organising the day, said it is thought to have been attended by around 1,000 people.Trevor’s Day raised £3,621 while Boxmoor Social Club hosted an “extra special” quiz night which raised £2,654 for the cause last week.
