Ally Russell will be starting his challenge on Princes Street in Edinburgh at 5am on Saturday June 8 and hopes to reach the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre in Glasgow by 6pm.
A Kirkintilloch man is set to run 100km in a bid to raise as much money as possible for the Beatson after his mum was diagnosed with cancer.
The 24-year-old's mum, Lorna Russell, was diagnosed with a rare aggressive lymphoma on Christmas Eve. Ally has so far raised over £5,000 and says he is fundraising for Beatson Cancer Charity following the support the charity has shown his mum.
