TV presenter, Kirstie Allsopp has revealed that she was contacted by social services following her 15 year old son's travelling trip across Europe without an adult
Kirstie Allsopp has shared her fury after social services got in contact following her son's three week travel trip across Europe. The Location, Location, Location star was hit with backlash by concerned parents after letting her 15 year old son interrail across Europe with his mate and it sparked a social services file to be opened.
It has been reported that the social worker questioned Kirstie what 'safeguards' had been put in place for her son during the trip with his 16 year old friend. She was also told by her local council, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, that they could keep the file open, "in case there was another referral and we needed to come to your house and look into this further."
"I have broken no law and nothing about allowing my child to travel around Europe is neglectful." Kirstie said that officials hadn't understood that she had been targeted by a 'malicious' complaint from someone falsely alleging neglect.
