There’s a new ship headed to homeport at Naval Base Kitsap- Bremerton, the USS Ronald Reagan.
Naval Base Kitsap Bremerton is the new homeport for the USS Ronald Reagan and her 2500 crewmembers. The Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier is named in honor of the 40th president of the United States.
“They're going to find a very welcoming city, actually welcoming county because they won't just be in Bremerton but Silverdale, Poulsbo, and Port Orchard,” Jamie Woodrow, a retired Navy man told KOMO News. “We always like new business, so it's wonderful that Bremerton is growing again to have two full carriers,” said Collins.
