A graphic on the local news in New York mistakenly declared that the Knicks had won Game 7 against the Pacers.
Anyone in the Tri-State area who was watching the 6 p.m. local news for updates on the New York Knicks rather than actually watching“We’re back with some breaking news,” anchor Gus Rosendale said. “And, unfortunately, we can now confirm the Knicks’ playoff run is over.”
But that’s not what the graphic behind Rosendale said. Someone in the control room apparently hit the wrong button and the text behind Rosendale read triumphantly “KNICKS ADVANCE.”“The Knicks not advancing here as Game 7 is final and so is the Knicks’ season,” Chandler said. Mistakes like that are easy to make and ultimately harmless.
