Daniel Craig is returning as Southern sleuth Benoit Blanc in a mystery slated for 2025.
“I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is,” Johnson wrote on X just before announcing the new film’s title. “There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.” Ahead, everything we know about Knives Out 3, which Netflix says revolves around Benoit Blanc’s “most dangerous case yet.
Aside from Craig, no official cast members have been announced, but the filmmaker knows a thing or two about assembling a starry cast. In the first film, Blanc investigated the death of a mystery writer who was suspected to have been murdered in his own Massachusetts mansion. The late Christopher Plummer played said scribe alongside an impressive group including Ana de Armas, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, and LaKeith Stanfield.
