Theme park visitors are encouraged to send text messages to Knott’s security when they spot violators.
David Dickstein worked at Knott’s Berry Farm as a ticket-taker and custodian in the late 1970s and early ’80s. Knott’s Berry Farm is cracking down on line jumping and enlisting the help of fed up riders to report violators to security so the culprits can be dealt with – and removed from the park if necessary.
The Knott’s Code of Conduct policy has long prohibited line jumping or “leaving and re-entering a line for any reason or place holding in line.” Parties are required to enter attraction queues together and holding spots for stragglers is prohibited.Riders are encouraged to get food or use the restroom before getting in line. If they leave the line, riders must inform a Knott’s employee that they plan to rejoin their group.
