The trail features everyone's favourite safari animals in glittering glory
So, when we were invited to experience Enchanted, the twinkly festive light trail at Knowsley Safari, they were thrilled.
We then headed over to the fairground where there's a range of rides to satisfy thrill-seekers of all ages. Later, we headed to see the Santa Panto, a charming festive tale of two shambolic Christmas elves, Jingle and Jangle, who attempt to assist Father Christmas himself as he completes a list of chores set by Mrs Claus - before he sets off around the world on Christmas Eve.
The next stop in Winter Village is a charming food court, giving families chance to fill their bellies before setting off down the twinkly trail. We opted for The Bus Yard's delightful Yorkshire Pudding wraps, packed with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and crushed roast potatoes, carrots and a pot of thick and delicious gravy. We followed up with some luxurious - but very naughty - churros, complete with a pot of warm Nutella for dipping.
