Kobbie Mainoo discusses his enjoyable yet tough journey into Manchester United's first team after recovering from an ankle injury.
Kobbie Mainoo said that he's found this season 'enjoyable' and 'tough' when asked for his thoughts on his impressive breakthrough into Manchester United 's first team .
The youngster returned from that injury in October and was carefully handled by United. Mainoo made a handful of appearances for the Under-21s as he got back up to speed and was finally given significant first-team opportunities a month later in November. The 18-year-old has gone from strength to strength and made his debut for England during the international break, which means he could make the Three Lions' Euro 2024 squad.
When asked to summarise how he's found this season, he said: "Enjoyable, tough, but I'm playing for my boyhood club on the biggest stage, so to be able to adapt, for these fans and everything around it, I can't complain.
