The first trailer for the new Superman film has been released and Krypto, the Man of Steel's canine companion, has captured the hearts of fans everywhere.
The first trailer for the highly anticipated new Superman film has been released. But the Man of Steel, played by David Corenswet, was upstaged by an unexpected four-legged hero - his dog Krypto. In the trailer, the adorable pooch comes to the rescue when his owner is stranded in an icy terrain. After plummeting from the sky, the injured superhero manages a whistle, prompting his dog to hurtle towards him in the snow. 'Krypto, home. Take me home,' Superman says.
The tiny dog then bites onto his owner's red cape and effortlessly pulls him through the snow. The movie stars David Corenswet as the Man of Steel. The canine was a stand-out for numerous viewers, with one saying the dog was the 'only reason' they planned on heading to the theatres. 'I’m deadass when I say this but Krypto the Dog is the only reason I’m watching the #Superman movie..' one fan tweeted. 'We need a Krypto solo movie,' another said. 'Trailer is amazing but Krypto being in it made me wanna buy the tickets day 1, because I got two loving dogs,' one viewer tweeted. 'The way James Gunn really said, “Y’all thought Groot and Baby Yoda were cute? Buckle up.” #Superman #Krypto,' another said. 'Indeed. Krypto gonna be the star,' one agreed. 'Krypto!!! The Superdog will steal the show!! #Superman,' one other noted. The new film, which is directed by Guardians Of The Galaxy filmmaker James Gunn, will hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
