Once a KSAT intern, the Texas native joining 'Good Morning San Antonio' says he first 'fell in love' with the Alamo City when he attended Trinity University.

KSAT-TV viewers might have noticed a new face waking up with them this week on 'Good Morning San Antonio .' On Monday, the station welcomed Devan Karp , a Texas native and graduate of Trinity University . During his time at the San Antonio school, he 'fell in love with the food, people, and culture of this city,' he said in a Q&A with KSAT-TV . 'You did a great job, and I thought, 'This guy's going places,'' Horne said. 'We're glad to have you back.' Before his return to KSAT-TV and the Alamo City, Karp spent two years as a reporter in Colorado Springs. He was awarded a Heartland Emmy and Colorado Broadcasters Association Award for his work there, which included covering a mass shooting at LGBTQ+ bar Club Q. Now that he's back, Karp is looking forward to sharing news that matters with San Antonio.
