Manchester City lost the FA Cup final to rivals Man United, having celebrated their Premier League title a few days earlier at a Manchester nightclub.
Kyle Walker insists Manchester City were right to celebrate their Premier League title last weekend because doing so after the FA Cup final could have put a 'downer' on their parties.
However, City were second best at Wembley and lost for the first time in 35 outings to hand the cup final to United, and Guardiola admitted he got his tactics wrong after the defeat.ALSO READ: Manchester United give Pep Guardiola awkward reminder about Man City future "We celebrated on Sunday, this is Saturday. It's six days," he said. "If us athletes can't recover in six days we've got no chance for everyone. We had to take that moment on Sunday, because if we're celebrating now on a downer it won't feel right.
Walker also looked ahead to Sunday's trophy parade in Manchester, with just the Premier League to show to fans.
