Kyle Walker has signed a two-year contract extension at Manchester City, taking his stay at the Etihad until 2026.
Kyle Walker was close to leaving Manchester City this summer, but said the opportunity to defend the treble was too good an opportunity to turn down.
"I think that in this team there's something special," he said after confirming his extension. "Obviously, just coming back after an amazing high of last season in winning the Treble and finally getting the Champions League, which is the one trophy that we didn't have as a as a group and as collectively, I wanted to go and do it again."The lads have got that hunger again to go and achieve something really special again this season, fingers crossed.
"We seem to be doing that each year. We've probably gone to the top of the top where, to stay there, there is only down because are we going to go and win a Treble again? Who knows? You know, we could do. But the odds say that we're not going to, but we need to make sure that we’re there competing in the later stages in all competitions and fighting for the silverware.
