As a young girl from Bicol, Kyline Alcantara had humble beginnings before making it in the showbiz industry.
On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the Sparkle actress said her family did not even have the money for the fare to Metro Manila so she could audition for roles."Wala po kaming pambayad sa bus, kahit po ordinary bus lang, hindi po 'yung may aircon," Kyline said.
"So may palengke po dun sa Bicol pumunta po dun si mama and nagtanong po siya sa isang tindera na kaibigan niya po dun, 'Uy meron ka bang mga ipapadala sa Manila?'""Sumabay po kami sa truck na punong-puno ng gulay, at may mga kasama kaming boys kasi s'yempre po magbubuhat po sila eh," she said. Kyline said she experienced many rejections, but there were also several people who helped her along the way.
