The striker has previously played down talk of a return to the J-League after success in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic star Kyogo Furushashi has declared he wants to recapture his scoring form - "wherever" he is next season.
The striker has been touted with a move to Urawa Red Diamonds this summer as reports in Japan suggest the cash-rich club are considering a mega-money bid to bring the 29-year-old back to the J-League this summer. But while in his homeland, he has stated publicly that he is focusing on progressing his career in Europe rather than making a switch back to Japan at this stage of his career.
But speaking to Nikkan Sports, the striker has conceded he was frustrated with his own form last season despite lifting the Premiership and Scottish Cup last season - which continued his trophy-laden spell in Glasgow's east end following his switch in 2021. Looking back on his season with Celtic, Kyogo said: "Personally, I was not able to score as many goals as I did last season. I am happy that we were able to send goalkeeper Joe Hart off in a good way in his retirement year.
But while being put on the spot about his future, he offered a coy response. Despite dropping clues that a Urawa switch was off the table, he conceded he wants to find his scoring form form whatever the club. He said: "I hope to make my presence felt wherever I am. I had some frustrating experiences , so I hope to score more goals than that."
