Kyrgios will now have to return during the clay season in April, a surface he has shunned in recent years. He made the quarter finals in Houston in 2022, his only tournament on clay in the last four years. At the end of 2022 he confirmed he would return to Paris in May, but only because his girlfriend wants to see the city.
