Every weekday, you'll get fresh, community-driven stories that catch you up with our independent local news.Los Angeles County’s Board of Supervisors unanimously voted Tuesday in favor of creating a plan to provide free attorneys to renters facing eviction.

The plan also sets income limits on who can receive an attorney. Tenants will need to have a household income of 80% or less of the area’s median income. Under current guidelines, that comes out to $77,700 for an individual or $110,950 for a family of four.
