Labor will consider appointing worker representatives to the Reserve Bank board as part of a final swathe of changes pushed by unions at party conference.

Labor will consider appointing union representatives to the Reserve Bank board and crack down on carer apps when it regulates the gig economy according to a final swathe of commitments backed at party conference.

The commitment followed Treasurer Jim Chalmers appointing former Fair Work Commission president Iain Ross and former ACTU official Elana Rubin as members of the board in April.
