Mr Parker, 60, grew up in Bristol and did live in Birmingham while working for the local council as a graduate, as well as working in the Birmingham office of consultancy giant PwC where he rose to the rank of partner. He was on the electoral roll in Bromsgrove, Worcs, until recently and his wife and son are still listed there.
His large, detached family home is 11 miles south - across the border into Worcestershire - in the upmarket village of Barnt Green in Bromsgrove.'I had no idea,' he said.
