Tulip Siddiq, the City minister and MP for Hampstead and Highgate, is accused of helping her aunt, former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, embezzle billions of pounds from infrastructure projects. Bangladeshi anti-corruption officials allege that Ms Siddiq and her family siphoned funds from nine large building projects, including a nuclear power plant. Ms Siddiq has not commented publicly, but sources close to her have dismissed the allegations as politically motivated attacks.
