David Skaith won the York and North Yorkshire mayoral race, which covers Rishi Sunak's constituency of Richmond.Mr Skaith gained 35% of the vote, beating the Conservatives' Keane Duncan, who had 27.3% in second place.A Labour party spokesperson hailed the "truly historic result".
