Senator Lambie has been critical of the Albanese Government’s “soft” response to the remote town's crime surge which has made national headlines. When pressed by Stefanovic on her support for the proposed Indigenous Voice to Parliament, Lambie remained sceptical. Senator Lambie has“I want to see the practical side and I want to see what difference this is going to make in these communities. Albanese is on notice now. What are you going to do over the next three to six months?” she said.
“This is about consultation, it won’t have a right of veto, it won’t be a funding body. It’s very clear with the principles put out,” he said.
