'Her diagnosis, illness and death happened at too young an age'

A surgeon is taking on the challenging Berlin Marathon in memory of a Lanarkshire mum-of-two who worked alongside him at University Hospital Wishaw.

“Sandra was a valued and integral part of the team and helped shape and improve the service. She was also a fantastic colleague and we all miss her so much since she passed away just under a year ago. “She will always be remembered for being a great colleague who was dedicated to her patients and it is only right that something is given back in her name and honour.MND Scotland is the only Scottish charity providing care and support to people affected by the disease, as well as funding research to take us a step closer to a cure.
