Edward Weir collapsed in front his son and wife at their home in Muirhead on March 19. Bernadette, claims A. Milne Independent Funeral Directors have treated her husband in an undignified way.

A Lanarkshire woman has hit out at a funeral director for the 'undignified' treatment her husband received following his sudden death as she continues to chase them for a full refund.

The grieving widow paid the company a deposit of £1400 while she faced the task of organising her husband's cremation. However, his body lay untouched for the next eight days. After phoning A. Milne Independent Funeral Directors on a number of occasions, Bernadette decided to get in touch with a different funeral parlour.

"My husband was lying in a fridge with the clothes he had on that night. He never even had an identity tag on him. When the other undertaker went to pick him up he asked me to send photos of my husband because they didn't know where he was." "They are now saying they are keeping the rest because of the services they provided. I've told them that I don't agree with their decision because of the undignified way they treated my husband.
