Lancashire Mind, a leading mental health charity in Lancashire, plans to expand its services in 2025 to address the growing need for mental health support. With an estimated 400,000 people in Lancashire experiencing poor mental health, the charity aims to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and provide crucial resources to those in need.

“But we can’t and won’t stop there. We want everyone in Lancashire to have the best mental health and wellbeing possible, and to have the tools they need to look after their mental health in good times and challenging times. They said the worsening of people’s mental health is due to a range of factors, such as the knock-on effects of the pandemic, the ongoing cost of living crisis, continuing stigma associated with mental health and lack of access to support.

The charity has already responded by introducing new support services, particularly for children and young people who’ve been one of the hardest hit groups, but it hopes to do even more in 2025.
