The venue also found itself under fire for a 'vile' Instagram post
Lancashire Constabulary has launched an investigation reviewing a nightclub's licence after it found a string of incidents connected to the venue, including alleged spiking and sexual assault.
The alleged incidents noted by police took place within a five month period this year. And on Wednesday this week, officers visited Alpine Club Lodge as part of their investigation into its licence review. The following day, an incident was reported where a female customer inside the premises had been hit with a stool thrown by an unknown male.
June saw officers approached by a man reporting an assault which had taken place inside the club. A further report was then made of a sexual assault which had taken place inside the premises. A final report of violent disorder on Railway Road outside the club was then lodged involving several members of staff and customers, with damage caused to a parked vehicle nearby during this incident.
