Just 52.6% of Lancashire residents would call themselves Christian

There has been a sharp decline in Christianity in Lancashire - as census data reveals the most Godless neighbourhoods in the country.

Meanwhile, residents of Little Layton & Little Carleton in Blackpool are least likely to worship any God, with 49.2% saying they had no religion. That is followed by North East Centre in Blackpool , and then Lancaster Central in Lancaster . The Archbishop of York said the census data showed the country had “left behind the era when many people almost automatically identified as Christian”.
