Blackpool, Morecambe and Southport may be brilliant places to enjoy a trip to eh seaside, but you still really shouldn't go there
A day trip to the seaside even a short break for a couple of days is a right of passage for any family. But there's three places you really should avoid Blackpool, Morecambe and Southport.
The publication selected 20 'classic' seaside towns and sorted them using a ranking system they calculated using a range of criteria. As a result, St Ives sits top of the tree with an eye-popping 98/100 and Southwold in Suffolk following closely behind, scoring 94/100.At the other end of this entirely made up scale are out two Lancastrian coastal towns and Southport, which is a hope and skip over the west border in Sefton.
For pure satire-sake, a hint of sarcasm and bucket loads of fun, we've had a go at defuncting these apparently snobby assessments of our beloved seaside resorts.
