Some employees are asking if they'll be paid after they say the company was late on payroll earlier in the month and missed the last pay date altogether.

Financial problems and the untimely death of the CEO have led to the closure of a drug and alcohol rehab center in Lancaster County . Retreat Behavioral Health is closing its inpatient residential unit on South State Street in Ephrata and its outpatient facility in Akron. Now some employees are asking if they'll be paid after they say the company was late on payroll earlier in the month and missed the last pay date altogether. The center said CEO Peter Schorr died suddenly Friday.

One staff member who has been there for more than a decade says she loves the work she does, but she also relies on the paycheck. 'We still have not seen a paycheck and the next check is due July 5. We have people who work there that are couples, that have families, who have bills to pay. Rent is due. How do you pay it with no paycheck?” said Ami Wolf, part of the kitchen staff.
