County commissioners approved a contract with a company to build a new election results website.
Lancaster County voters will soon have a new way to access election results.During their weekly meeting on Wednesday, the Lancaster County commissioners unanimously approved a motion to hire Enhanced Voting LLC out of Florida.Under the contract, the company will be paid $37,800 to create and implement a new election night voter return website. The money is coming from a state election integrity grant.
Christa Miller, the chief clerk of the Lancaster County Board of Elections, said the county looked at several options but felt Enhanced Voting offered the best cyber security measures.It's a one-year contract.'It was either one year or five. After talking, with never having used something like this before, we didn't feel like it was something we wanted to the first year commit to a very long term.
