Lance Stroll may have qualified third for the Brazilian Grand Prix, but was not pleased by the feeling in the cockpit at Interlagos.
Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll can't contain his joy after qualifying third for the 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix.
Stroll has seen his place in the Aston Martin team come under severe scrutiny after six consecutive Q1 exits since September’s Italian GP at Monza, but was back to his best at Sao Paulo on Friday. Stroll felt the team executed the session to perfection, but admitted the car did not feel great underneath him as a storm arrived at the start of Q3.“I don’t think we were lucky today, I think we made our own luck. We did well going at the front of the queue and getting good track position. The weather was coming in, so I think that was smart.
“So it’s still really tough, but I think we did a good job getting both cars, me and Fernando, at the front of the queue and the team did a good job of giving us an attempt the front of the queue and before the bad weather came in.
