A brighter start to the week will soon change to more wet and windy weather.
Lancashire is set for a week of changeable weather with a mixture of heavy rain and sunshine forecast.The previous infamous storm brought snow and freezing temperatures to our shores back in 2018. James Madden, an Exacta Weather forecaster, said there is a "medium-high risk for an early SSW from in and around mid-November onwards this year." He but added it could take "a number of weeks" before its impact can be seen in Britain. But this week, Preston will start off cloudy today before rain sweeps in tomorrow. In Blackpool, the seaside town will be battered by heavy rain today.Today:
A brighter start in the north with sunny spells and staying mostly dry. Cloudier in the south with further outbreaks of rain developing, turning heavy and persistent during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 17 °C.Rain continuing in the south through the evening, heavy at times before clearing eastwards overnight. Drier in the north with clear spells and a few showers during the early hours. Minimum temperature 11 °C.After a mostly dry start, showers soon moving in on the brisk wind.
