A 'large police presence' will be in place in a Nottinghamshire town after two people smashed a jewellery shop window before escaping on motorbikes. Officers were called to the Gold Bulwellion store in Commercial Road, Bulwell, at about 3.40pm on Friday, September 8.
It has also been confirmed that property was stolen in the raid. Detective Inspector Gareth Harding, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are still at a very early stage in the investigation and would like to hear from anyone with any information about what happened. “Residents should expect to see a large police presence in the area this evening but we do not believe there is any wider threat to the public. If anyone has any concerns they should speak to an officer.”
She added: "I don’t get how people can do this it’s not good. It was during the day and there were lots of families and children around but they did this wrong and dangerous thing anyway."
