So when they saw their idol climbing to the top of Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium, and standing on a glass walkway 46.8 metres above the pitch, they were determined to do the same. Follow this up and you find yourself on the roof, with the most amazing views across London. You’ll then be taken out onto a glass walkway above the football pitch where you can touch the iconic golden cockerel at the summit. It’s one of those unforgettable days’ out that has something for the whole family: a daredevil climb and unbelievable views of London . Oh, and prosecco on the roof too if you fancy it.
However you’ll need to be sure you feel comfortable about doing the Skywalk before you set off – once you’re on the outside walkway, it’s difficult to turn round and come back down. You can also pre-order drinks, including prosecco, to have at the summit. Be warned though: there’s no loo on the roof. You’ll need to wait until you’re back down in the changing room area.
What else is there to do nearby? Don’t leave without heading into the Tottenham stadium cafe. They do amazing cakes and have the poshest loos I’ve ever seen at a football ground, complete with Molton Brown toiletries. I imagined the ‘box’ you book to play would be a separate room, but it’s much better than that. While you have your own area to play, you’re still a part of the main bar. Creams Cafes offer the ultimate dessert dining experience, with cool surroundings giving the wow-factor experience. This menu is perfect for those frosty days, but if you visit when the weather is warmer, the ice cream sundaes are a must.
