Rangers scored twice in the dying minutes to secure a 2-1 victory over Hearts, cutting the gap at the top of the table to five points. James Tavernier converted a penalty and Danilo scored a header in added time. Lawrence Shankland had given Hearts an early lead, but Rangers fought back to claim the win.
Rangers’ annual Remembrance Day turned out to be unforgettable afternoon as they scored twice at the death to earn a 2-1 win over Hearts on an unbelievable day of drama.
The Jambos worked the ball out to the left, Alex Cochrane floated in a cross that caught out Ridvan Yilmaz and Shankland headed home for the first goal conceded by the Ibrox side in just over 300 minutes. Clement reacted with Danilo replacing the ineffective Dessers for the second half and the equally ineffective Sam Lammers could have been hooked but he remained on the pitch and missed a glorious chance to level when he fired over from close range after Yilmaz’s cut back.
