The Giants pulled off a second come-from-behind, one-run win over their National League West foes.

San Francisco Giants’ Jorge Soler connects for a double against the San Diego Padres in the first inning of their MLB game at Oracle Park in San Francisco, Calif., on Sunday, April 7, 2024. SAN FRANCISCO — The baseball popped out of Ha-Seong Kim’s glove and breathed new life into the Giants’ stagnant offense.

Camilo Doval closed the door in the top of the ninth to earn his first save of the season and secure the Giants’ second come-from-behind win with a margin of just one run over the course of the three-game series. Using a couple of well-timed double-play balls scooped up by the left side of his infield, Webb pitched around 10 Padres hits to limit the star-studded lineup to two runs over seven innings, rebounding nicely from his last start, when he failed to complete five innings for only the second time in the past two seasons.
