The latest house prices across the region have now been revealed. Our exclusive analysis of new Land Registry data shows the most and least affordable postcode areas to buy a house in Greater Manchester.
The OL8 postcode has the cheapest property prices across the region. Homes in the area - covering Bardsley and Oldham - sold for £150,296 each on average in the last 12 months, which is the lowest average sale price of any postcode area in Greater Manchester. OL1 - which covers Oldham, Chadderton and Higginshaw - is next with an average sale price of £156,593. That’s followed by M38 with an average of £159,458, BL4 with an average of £168,702, and BL3 with an average of £172,124.At the top end of the market is the WA15 postcode. Houses in the area which covers Altrincham, Ashley, Hale, Hale Barns, Timperley and Ringway sold for an average of £590,437 in the last year up to April.
