Good morning and welcome to i's live politics blog. The Covid inquiry enters a significant week this week, with evidence that is likely to give unforgiving insight into what when on in Boris Johnson's government during the pandemic. The inquiry will be hearing from Mr Johnson's former chief adviser, Dominic Cummings, and communications chief Lee Cain, as well as other senior aides and civil services.
Several of these people's names will be recognisable to the public because of the part they played in the partygate scandal. They include Martin Reynolds, dubbed 'Party Marty' after an email he wrote inviting over 100 Downing Street staff to a bring your own booze gathering during the first lockdown became public. Helen MacNamara, Mr Johnson's head of ethics, will also be giving evidence.
